1 Scope This standard specifies the basic requirements for the design of Class 1E control boards (panels) and racks used in nuclear power plants and the inspection methods to meet these basic design requirements. This standard is applicable to the design and qualification of Class 1E control boards (panels) and racks used in nuclear power plants and it may be used as reference by other nuclear reactors. This standard is not applicable to the design and qualification of individual components and modules installed on Class 1E control boards (panels) and racks and external field-run cable, except as they may affect the design and qualification of Class 1E control boards (panels) and racks. 2 Normative References The following documents contain provisions which, through reference in this standard, constitute provisions of this standard. For dated reference, subsequent amendments to (excluding any corrigendum), or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply.
