Civilian alcohol-based liquid fuels are blue liquid fuels made primarily of methanol, with water and colorants added. They are supplied to residential and commercial (public building) appliances. Industrial alcohol-based liquid fuels are a mixture of alcohols, hydrocarbons, and water, and are supplied to industrial enterprises for use as fuel. Civilian alcohol-based liquid fuels are categorized into three grades based on their methanol content: AF-80, AF-90, and AF-95. AF-80 alcohol-based liquid fuel is suitable for applications where calorific value is not a high priority, such as slow cooking. AF-90 alcohol-based liquid fuel can be used in most kitchen cookware. AF-95 alcohol-based liquid fuel can be used in boilers of non-special equipment and household water heaters, etc. 4.2 Product Marking Alcohol-based liquid fuel products are marked as: variety code product name. Example: An alcohol-based liquid fuel product with a methanol content (mass fraction) of 90% is labeled as: AF-90 alcohol-based liquid fuel. 5 Requirements and test methods 5.1 The technical requirements and test methods for alcohol-based liquid fuels shall comply with the provisions of Table 1. 5.2 The water used for alcohol-based liquid fuel shall meet the requirements of GB5749, and the raw material methanol shall meet the following requirements:
