1 Application Scope This standard specifies the pollution control and monitoring requirements for site selection, engineering design and construction, landfill waste admission condition, operation, closure and later maintenance and management of municipal solid waste landfill site. This standard is applicable to the construction, operation and pollution control, supervision and management during post-closure maintenance and management of municipal solid waste landfill site. Some requirements in this standard are also applicable to the construction and operation of municipal solid waste transfer station matched to the municipal solid waste landfill site. This standard is only applicable to legal pollutant discharge behaviors; the site selection of newly-established pollution source and the management of existing pollution source in the special protected zone shall be executed according to "Law on Prevention of Air Pollution of the People's Republic of China", "Law of the People's Republic of China on Prevention and Control of Water Pollution", "Marine Environment Protection Law of the People's Republic of China", "Law of the People's Republic of China on Prevention of Environmental Pollution Caused by Solid Waste", "Law of the People's Republic of China on Prevention and Control of Radioactive Pollution" and "Law of the People's Republic of China on Environmental Impact Assessment". 2 Normative References The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document.
