1 Scope This standard specifies energy grade, minimum allowable values of energy efficiency, evaluating values of energy conservation, test and calculation methods and inspection rules for copy machines, printers, fax machines and multifunction device for general purpose (hereafter referred to as products). This standard is applicable to products which are working normally under 220V, 50Hz power grid supply and provided with standard size format. This standard is not applicable to the following products: a) Products powered only by data interface (e.g. USB, IEEE 1394 interfaces); b) Products provided with digital front-end (DFE); c) Products equipped with an output speed greater than or equal to 70 page/min; d) Needle printers having more than 48 printing heads. 2 Normative References The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document.
