本标准规定了电源电压和输出电压不超过1000V的Ⅰ类和Ⅱ类内装变压器的钨丝灯具、不超过250V的0类内装变压器的钨丝灯具的安全要求，阅读本标准时参阅GB 7000（idt IEC 598-1）的有关章。本标准不适用于Ⅲ类灯具。使用“安全特低电压”（SELV）变压器不必符合本标准的安全要求，但这种变压器亦可以满足本标准的功能要求。
