本标准代替GB/T 15223-1994《液体树脂密度的测定方法 比重瓶法》和GB/T 12007.5-1989《环氧树脂密度测定方法 比重瓶法》，将GB/T 12007.5-1989的内容纳入本标准。
本标准规定了使用比重瓶测定液体树脂密度的方法。
本标准适用于低黏度和中等黏度液体树脂密度的测定，对高黏度树脂也可采用，但在操作上有困难。
本标准与GB/T 15223-1994相比，主要技术内容改变如下：
a) 更改了标准名称；
b) 增加了定义、目次、前言；
c) 删除了仪器中的烘箱；
d) 删除了允许差
e) 扩大了GB/T 12007.5-1989的适用范围。
