GB/T23270的本部分定义了馆际互借应用服务元协议,描述了一个系统要加入馆际互借服务必须遵循的行为规范。
提供了加入馆际互借业务的双方或多方各自的行为规则,并规定了:
a) 接收馆际互借客户发出的服务请求原语时应采取的行动;
b) 接收应用协议数据单元时应采取的行动;
c) 本地系统作为事件结果应采取的行动。
描述了传送馆际互借协议应用协议数据单元所需的抽象语法(见第9章)。
指出了协议实施需遵循的一致性要求(见第10章)。
馆际互借协议的范围限于系统的互连;它没有规定或限制计算机系统内可能的相互作用。计算机系统的范围包括从单独的工作站到主机。
本部分旨在供图书馆、联合编目中心等信息机构和其它书目信息处理系统使用。这些系统可能以请求方(馆际互借请求的发起者,即客户)、应答方(书目资料或信息的提供者,即服务供方),和/或中介(为请求方寻找合适应答方的代理者)的身份加入馆际互借事务。
该协议支持从简单的双边交互到多边交互等不同交互结构的拓扑关系。
