1 Scope
This standard specifies the method for determination of the content of ortho-phenylphenol in dye products.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the content of ortho-phenylphenol in commercial dyes, dye products, dye intermediates and textile dyeing and finishing auxiliaries by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS).

3 Theory
Extract the sample with n-hexane in ultrasonic bath, then conduct determination of the extract by gas chromatograph-mass selective detector (GC-MSD) after the extracting solution is filled to volume, and quantify the characteristic ions by external standard method.
