1 Scope
This document specifies requirements for rubber hoses (including twin hoses) used for welding, cutting, and allied processes.
This document covers:
Conventional rubber hoses (2.0 MPa maximum working pressure)
Lightweight rubber hoses (≤1.0 MPa maximum working pressure with inner diameter ≤6.3 mm)
Acetylene hoses (0.3 MPa maximum working pressure)
This document applies to hoses operating at temperatures from -20°C to +60°C for:
Gas welding and cutting
Arc welding under inert/reactive gas shielding
Allied processes including heating, brazing, and metal spraying
This document does not apply to thermoplastic hoses or high-pressure acetylene hoses (>0.3 MPa).
