Protective coverings for electric cables — Part 1: General 1 Scope This part of GB/T 2952 specifies the type, model designation, structure, dimension, technical requirements and test method of the protective coverings for electric cables (hereinafter referred to as "protective coverings"). This part is applicable to fixed formation power cables (including oil-filled cables), and communication, signal, control cables, etc. as well as optical cables. The protective coverings which are not specified in this part and have other special requirement shall be specified separately in the corresponding product standards. 2 Normative references The following documents contain provisions which, through reference in this part of GB/T 2952, constitute provisions of this part.
