1 Scope
This part of GB/T 3048 specifies the terms and definitions, test apparatus, specimen preparation, test procedures, test results and evaluation, calibration of test apparatus, and test records for the spark test of insulated cores (electric wires).
This part is applicable to the inspection of the insulating layer quality of insulated cores for rubber and plastic insulated electric cables and wires, and can be used for intermediate inspection and routine test of electric cables and wires. It is not applicable to the inspection of any insulating products that are made of non-conductive materials and used for conductive cores.
This part includes the AC spark test and the DC spark test, for which the AC spark tester and the DC spark tester are used.
This part shall be used in combination with GB/T 3048.1.
