For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 39263 and the following apply.
3.1
night vision system
system that provides visual aids or warning messages to the driver at night or in other low-light driving environments
3.2
subject vehicle
vehicle under test equipped with a night vision system and testing equipment
3.3
target
pedestrians within the detection range of the night vision system
3.4
longitudinal distance
projected distance between the outermost edge of the front end of the subject vehicle and the target center of mass in the traveling direction of the subject vehicle under the coordinate system of the subject vehicle
3.5
time to collision; TTC
ratio of the longitudinal distance to the relative velocity on the longitudinal distance projection at the same time
3.6
self-check
function of the system to check its own faults
