本标准等同采用国际电工委员会标准IEC60617-4：1996《电气简图用图形符号第4部分：基本无源件》。本标准是对GB/T4728.4-1985《电气简图用图形符号无源件》的修订，与GB/T4728.4-1985相比，本标准的符号归类和类别名称有较大变动；删掉了GB/T4728.4-1985的04-01-02、04-01-05、04-01-06、04-01-07、04-01-08等21个符号，04-01-04、04-02-15、04-02-16、04-05-02和04-09-025个符号的文字标注略有变化。该系列标准的范围及引用标准见IEC60617-1，修订GB/T4728.1时拟等同采用IEC60617-1。
