Introduction of GB/T 5267.1-2002

This standard specifies dimension requirement and coating thickness for electroplated steel or copper alloy fasteners, and also offers suggestion of eliminating hydrogen embrittlement for high tensile strength fasteners or hardening or hardening fasteners. This standard is applicable to electroplated coatings on threaded fasteners or other threaded parts. Its application for tapping screws is explained in Chapter 8. Provisions of this standard are also applicable to non-threaded parts such as gasket and pin.
