This standard specifies the test device, test procedure and result calculation of the test methods of flammability characteristics of fiber reinforced plastics. This standard is applicable to the measurement of glass fiber reinforced plastics and carbon fiber reinforced plastics by oxygen index method. This standard is only applicable to evaluate the flammability characteristics of materials under conditions specified in this standard. It cannot be used to evaluate the fire risk of materials under actual service conditions and is not applicable to evaluate materials which have high shrinkage after heating.
