Pure nitrogen and high purity nitrogen and ultra pure nitrogen
1 Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements, inspection methods, as well as packaging, marking, storage, transport and safety warnings for pure nitrogen, high purity nitrogen, and ultra pure nitrogen products.
This standard is applicable to gaseous or liquid pure nitrogen, high purity nitrogen, or ultra pure nitrogen obtained by air separation or purification, which is primarily used as shielding gas, purge gas, reaction gas, etc.
Molecular formula: N2
Relative molecular mass: 28.0134 (as per the relative atomic mass in 2005).
2 Normative references
The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. For dated references, subsequent amendments (excluding corrections) to, or revisions, of any of these publications do not apply. However, parties to agreements based on this standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the normative documents indicated below. For undated references, the latest edition of the normative document applies.
