Sewed plush and cloth toys
1 Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements for sewed plush and cloth toys and describes the corresponding test methods.
This document applies to the toys made primarily of plush and cloth and containing various filling materials, including toys with and without clothing.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
toy
any product designed or clearly intended for use in play by children under 14 years of age

3.2
sewed plush and cloth toys
toys made primarily of plush and cloth and containing various filling materials
Note: Including toys with and without clothing.
3.3
normal use
the way of play in which toys are used in accordance with the instructions for use attached, in accordance with traditional custom, or in an obvious way

3.4
exposed base cloth
exposure of the underlying base material resulting from the loss of plush
3.5
hole
holes present in the plush or cloth itself, as well as holes formed during sewing due to missing stitches, thread being too fine, stitch spacing being too wide, skipped stitches, mismatch between upper and lower threads, etc.
3.6
filling materials
materials filled into the interior of a toy to give it a intended shape
Note: These mainly include chemical fibres, natural fibres, foam, sponge, plastic granules, plant seeds, paper, etc. Functional components such as sound devices, power sources, supporting structures, and electronic components inside the toy are not included.

foreign matter
general term for substances present in the filling material that are not intentionally added

3.8
flammability
ability of a material or a product to ignite and burn under specified test condition

3.9
highly flammable solid
material that exhibits combustion characteristics similar to celluloid (nitrocellulose) in a flame
Note: That is, it ignites immediately upon brief contact with a flame and burns rapidly.

4 Technical requirements
4.1 Safety requirements
The safety performance of plush and cloth toys shall comply with the relevant requirements specified in GB 6675.1, GB 6675.2, GB 6675.3, GB 6675.4 and GB/T 19865.
