1 Scope This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and storage of solvent-thinned polyurethane coatings. This standard is applicable to room temperature-cured two-component coatings for metal surfaces and indoor woodenware with polyester resins, alkyd resins and acrylic resins containing reactive functional groups as the main film former and polyisocyanate resins as curing agents. 2 Normative references The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. For dated references, subsequent amendments (excluding corrections), or revisions, of any of these publications do not apply to this standard. However parties to agreements based on this standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the normative documents indicated below. For undated references, the latest edition of the document referred to applies.
