本文件规定了二个型别、七个类别和三个级别的公称内径从100 到 1300 的疏浚用钢丝或织物增强的橡胶软管和软管组合件的要求。在每一个类别内，所有级别和尺寸都具有相同的最大工作压力。
本文件适用于在-20℃到+40℃环境温度下输送或吸引的相对密度介于 1.0 到 2.3 之间的混有泥浆、沙砾、珊瑚和小石头的海水或淡水的橡胶软管。
本文件适用的软管分为以下两个型别：
Ⅰ型漂浮型，仅用于输送，包括为软管提供浮力的漂浮材料；
