Technical specification of electromagnetic clutch for compressor of A/C
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage for electromagnetic clutch for automotive A/C compressor (hereinafter referred to as “the clutch”).
This standard is applicable to the electromagnetic clutch for automotive A/C compressor.

For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.

power input driver of automotive A/C compressor, composed of pulley assembly, coil assembly and clutch disc assembly, as shown in Figure 1

air gap
gap between the pulley and the disc when the clutch is not operating, as shown in Figure 1
3.3
pull-in voltage
minimum voltage to eliminate the maximum air gap
