1.0.1 This specification is applicable for seismic design of such steel facilities as vertical facilities, horizontal facilities, tanks, heating furnaces and so on in petrochemical enterprise where seismic fortification intensity is from six to nine degree. For facilities at the region where fortification intensity is 6, seismic checking computation can be ignored, but measures of seismic constitution should be adopted. 1.0.2 When facilities designed according to this specification subject to seismic action with fortification intensity of construction region, non-compression member of facility may be damaged. But it still can be used by general repair and even it need not to be repaired. 1.0.3 Seismic fortification intensity shall be ascertained according to the files (drawings) which are approved and issued in the light of authorities regulated by country. Generally, basic intensity can be used. For regions and enterprises where earthquake resistant plan and hazard resistant plan have been made, seismic fortification can be carried out according to approved fortification intensity or dynamic parameters of design earthquake. 1.0.4 When this specification is implemented, it also shall meet regulations of current compulsory standard specification concerned.
