Wheel profile for locomotive and car 1 Scope This standard specifies the type and contour of the wheel profile for railway locomotive and car. This standard is applicable to the wheels of locomotive and car subjected to mechanical processing. 2 Types and contours 2.1 There are 8 types of wheel profile prototype for locomotive and car, namely LM, LMA, LMB, LMC, LMD, JM, JM2 and JM3, and their contour profiles are shown in Figures 1 to 8 respectively. 2.2 There are 25 types of thin rim and tread profile for locomotive and car maintenance, among which there are 9 types of LM thin rims and treads, and 16 types of JM thin rims and treads, as shown in Table 1.
