1 Scope This part specifies the requirements, test methods, packaging and marking of termite resistant material, i.e. polyamide plastics for electrical cable and optical cable. This part is applicable to the acceptance and use of termite resistant materials, i.e. polyamide 11 (hereinafter referred to as PA11) and polyamide 12 (hereinafter referred to as PA12) for electrical cable and optical cable. 2 Normative references The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this part.
