本标准于１９８８年首次发布，标准编号为ＧＢ／Ｔ８６７９―１９８８，１９９９年调整为纺织行业标准，编号为ＦＺ／Ｔ０１０９１―１９９９，本次为第一次修订。本标准代替ＦＺ／Ｔ０１０９１―１９９９《机织物结构分析方法　织物中纱线织缩的测定》。本标准规定了测定织物中纱线织缩的方法。本标准适用于大多数机织物，不适用于在一定伸直张力下不能消除纱线上的卷曲，以及在织造、整理和该方法的分析过程中纱线受到破坏的织物。本标准与ＦＺ／Ｔ０１０９１―１９９９相比，主要修改了以下技术内容：
１．由原３．１～３．５的５个术语简化为织缩率１个术语。
２．试样长度由２５０ｍｍ 修改为“试样夹钳内长度的２０倍”。
３．删除了织缩率的计算公式（１）。
４．将附录Ａ 的伸直张力表并入８．１内。
