Plugs, socket-outlets and couplers for industrial purposes - Part 6: Direct current (DC) plugs, socket-outlets and connectors for ship and shore power supply system
1 Scope
This document specifies the marking, dimensions, protection against electric shock, construction, electrical and mechanical performance requirements for direct current (DC) plugs, socket-outlets and connectors for ship and shore power supply systems (hereinafter referred to as electrical accessories).
This document is applicable to electrical accessories with a rated operating voltage not exceeding 1500 VDC and a rated current not exceeding 1000 ADC.
These accessories are intended to be installed and used by instructed persons (GB/T 2900.73-2008, definition 195-04-02) or skilled persons (GB/T 2900.73-2008, definition 195-04-01).
Unless otherwise specified, this document applies to electrical accessories for use in an ambient temperature between -25°C and +55°C and in normal use in pollution degree 3 environments as specified in GB/T 16935.1-2023.
These electrical accessories are intended to be connected only to copper or copper-alloy cables.
Socket-outlets or ship inlets, incorporated in or fixed to electrical equipment as part of the shore connection system, are within the scope of this document.
For locations where special conditions prevail, such as where explosions are likely to occur, additional requirements may be necessary.
Electrical accessories for other types of ship DC charging systems may refer to this document.
Note 1: The electrical accessories in this document can serve as interfaces for containerized power sources during charging and discharging.
Note 2: This document specifies the requirements for DC plugs and socket-outlets for ship and shore power supply systems; for the requirements for connectors and inlets for ship and shore power supply systems, see DL/T 2804-2024.
