GB/T 15805《鱼类检疫方法》分为7个部分，本部分为GB/T 15805的第3部分。本部分与GB/T 15805.1-1995《淡水鱼类检疫方法 第一部分》中的第5章。GB/T 15805的本部分规定了用细胞分离病毒和用中和试验鉴定病毒性出血性败血症病毒（VHSV）的方法。
本部分适用VHSV的分离和鉴定，VHS的流行病学调查、诊断、疫情监测，以及口岸出入境，国内跨区域移动的检疫。本部分与GB/T 15805.1-1995的第5章相比主要变化如下：
——分离病毒的细胞由原仅用RTG-2改为用FHM或RTG-2细胞分离。因为最适合VHS生长的细胞是FHM和RTG-2。OIE的诊断手册也是推荐这两种细胞。
——结构格式按GB/T 1.1-2000的规定，作为部分编写。
