本标准规定了以高效液相色谱（HPLC）法和气相色谱-质谱（GC-MS）法测定饲料中苯巴比妥的方法，规定GC-MS法为仲裁法。
本标准适合于配合饲料、浓缩饲料和预混合饲料中苯巴比妥的测定与仲裁。HPLC法的最低检测限为5.0 ng（取样5g时，最低检测浓度为0.50 mg/kg），GC-MS法最低检测限为0.25 ng（取样5g时，最低检测浓度为0.10 mg/kg）。
