GB/T 223.25-1994 Methods for chemical analysis of iron, steel and alloy. The dimethylglyoxime gravimetric method for the determination of nickel content (English Version)
This standard specifies a dimethylglyoxime gravimetric method for the determination of nickel content.
This standard is applicable to the determination of nickel content in carbon steel, alloy steel, high temperature alloy and precision alloy. Determination range: above 2%.
2 Principle
Reduction of iron to divalent with sodium sulfite in the ammonium acetate buffer solution. Using tartaric acid as complexing agent, precipitation of nickel and dimethylglyoxime, at 6.0~6.4 pH value, and separation from such elements as iron, cobalt, copper, manganese, chromium, molybdenum, tungsten and vanadium. weighing nickel dimethylglyoxime dried to constant mass at 145 ±5℃.
