1 Scope
This standard specifies the testing method of dustiness for granular pesticide product.
This standard is applicable to the testing of dustiness in granular pesticide products.
2 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.

3 Test methods
3.1 Method summary
Weigh a certain amount of sample and freely drop them in the test space according to the specified conditions. The released dust is carried by the air flow, collected on the filter, and weighed to obtain the dust amount.
3.2 Apparatus
Dust meter (see Figure 1): consisting of a measuring box and a dumping tube (with the height of 600 mm). The top of the measuring box has a removable lid to which the dumping tube is attached. A filter is installed in the box, and is connected with the air flow meter and the vacuum pump;
Filter: with a pore size of 75 μm, and a diameter of 40 mm;
Air flow meter: 10 L/min to 20 L/min.
Balance: with a sensibility of 0.1 mg, precision of ± 0.1 mg;
Stopwatch;
Beaker: 100 mL;
Tweezers.
