本标准规定了硫化橡胶和混炼橡胶中炭黑含量的热解测定法。本方法适用以下各种硫化橡胶中碳黑的测定。天然橡胶；合成异戊二烯橡胶；聚丁二烯橡胶；苯乙烯丁二烯橡胶；乙烯-丙烯三乙丙橡胶；丁基橡胶；该方法不适用于聚合物中含有卤素或含有氮的硫化橡胶，也不适用于含有铝块或酚醛树脂之类配合剂的硫化橡胶，因为在热解时有含碳的残余物形成。
