本标准规定了测定生胶、混炼胶或硫化橡胶中溴和(或)氯含量的方法。本标准适用于天然橡胶和下列合成橡胶：异戊橡胶、丁苯橡胶、丁二烯橡胶、氯化橡胶、丁基橡胶、卤化丁基橡胶、丁腈橡胶、乙丙橡胶及氯丁橡胶和氯醚橡胶。碘会干扰测定。添加剂中的溴和氯如果不预先用抽提法除去，则它们也将被该法测出。当氯和溴单独存在时，电位滴定可准确测至6μg的溴和3μg的氯，当氯和溴共同存在时，下限是60μg的溴和30μg的氯。这些限度的大小决定于电位滴定仪的灵敏度。
