本标准规定了钢铁在推杆式可控气氛渗碳线生产过程控制中的技术要求、设备指标、电耗测定、可靠性、安全、环保等要求。
本标准适用于大批量生产，零件单件质量为0.1kg~40kg，渗碳层深度为0.3mm~3.0mm的渗碳钢制零件的各种渗碳处理。本标准中渗碳炉为电加热，不适用于燃料炉，也不适用于由推杆式炉与转底式炉组合而成的柔性生产线的热处理。
