本标准规定了电力电容器用圆形及椭圆形铝外壳的产品分类、一般要求、尺寸、性能、试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装、运输和贮存等。
本标准适用于下列电力电容器用圆形及椭圆形铝外壳：
交流电动机电容器(GB/T 3667.1、GB/T 3667.2，不包括电动机启动用电解电容器)；
管形荧光灯和其他放电灯线路用电容器（GB/T 18489）；
电力电子电容器（仅适用于额定电压1 500 V及以下）（GB/T 17702）；
标称电压1 000 V及以下交流电力系统用自愈式并联电容器（GB/T 12747.1和GB/T 12747.2）
本标准不适用于螺栓式金属防爆盖板组件、塑料防爆盖板组件。
