QB/T 5324-2018 Guideline for Jiaosu products classification
1 Scope
This standard defines the terms, definitions, and classifications of Jiaosu products.
This standard applies to the production, sales, teaching, and scientific research of Jiaosu products.
2 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
2.1 Bioactive compounds
Trace or small amounts of substances prepared from fermentation have impacts on various biological phenomena.
This includes polysaccharides, oligosaccharides, polyphenols, proteins and peptides, amino acids, vitamins, etc.
2.2 Jiaosu
Jiaosu is the products containing specific bioactive compounds, which are prepared from animal tissues, plants, fungi, etc. by microbial fermentation, with or without the addition of excipients.
2.2.1 Edible Jiaosu
The Jiaosu products containing specific bioactive compounds, obtained through the microbial fermentation using animal , plants, edible fungi, or other similar materials, with or without the addition of auxiliary materials, are intended for food.
2.2.2 Jiaosu for environmental protection
The Jiaosu products containing specific bioactive compounds, obtained through the microbial fermentation using animal, plant, fungi, or other similar materials, with or without the addition of auxiliary materials, are intended for environmental management and protection.
2.2.3 Jiaosu for household
The Jiaosu products containing specific bioactive compounds, obtained through the microbial fermentation using animal, plant, fungi, or other similar materials, with or without the addition of auxiliary materials, are intended for personal care and cleaning.
2.2.4 Jiaosu for feed
The Jiaosu products containing specific bioactive compounds, obtained through the microbial fermentation using animal, plant, fungi, or other similar materials, with or without the addition of auxiliary materials, are intended for the nutrition and health of animals.
2.2.5 Jiaosu for agriculture
The Jiaosu products containing specific bioactive compounds, obtained through the microbial fermentation using animal, plant, fungi, or other similar materials, with or without the addition of auxiliary materials, are intended for planting aquaculture and soil improvement.
2.2.6 Artificial fermentation Jiaosu
The Jiaosu products are obtained through fermentation by microorganisms that are artificially cultivated with a specific taxonomic name, using animal, plant, fungi, or other similar materials, with or without the addition of auxiliary materials.
2.2.7 Natural fermentation Jiaosu
The Jiaosu products are obtained through natural fermentation using animal, plant, fungi, or other similar materials in a specific environment, with or without the addition of auxiliary materials.
2.2.8 Mixed fermentation Jiaosu
The Jiaosu products are obtained through inoculated fermentation and natural fermentation using animal, plant, fungi, or other similar materials, with or without the addition of auxiliary materials.
2.2.9 Plant Jiaosu
The Jiaosu products are obtained through from fermentation using plants as main materials, with or without the addition of auxiliary materials.
2.2.10 Fungus source Jiaosu
The Jiaosu products are obtained through fermentation using fungi as main materials, with or without the addition of auxiliary materials.
2.2.11 Animal tissue source Jiaosu
The Jiaosu products are obtained through fermentation using animal tissues as main materials, with or without the addition of auxiliary materials.
