This Part of SN/T 1877 specifies gas chromatography-mass spectrum, high performance liquid chromatography and gas chromatography measuring methods for polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in mineral oils.
This Part is applicable to the determination of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in mineral oils.

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons
Abbreviated term is PAHs. Aromatic hydrocarbon containing two or more condensed aromatic nuclei. Short substituent that may replace alkyl or naphthenic base may also be on the aromatic nucleus. Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in this standard refer to those (totally sixteen) specified in Table 1.
