本规程针对智能化系统中应用BIM技术进行了规定。
本规程适用于新建、扩建和改建的住宅、办公、旅馆、文化、博物馆、观演、会展、教育、金融、交通、医疗、体育、商店等民用建筑及通用工业建筑，以及轨道交通，道路桥梁，市政公用、多功能组合的综合体等建筑物，在设计和施工、运营中采用了物联网技术，并希望采用建筑信息模型（BIM）技术来实现其建筑物和建筑设备数字化表达的智能化或信息化分项工程。
