本标准规定了氧化铝厂通风、除尘与烟气净化系统设计依据、目的和技术手段，对近年来国内投产的大型氧化铝厂项目工程设计中的成熟经验进行了总结，对一些适用的新技术、新工艺和新材料进行了推荐。
本标准适用于新建、扩建和改建的氧化铝厂工艺车间（生产工艺系统）以及辅助设施的通风、除尘与烟气净化系统设计。不适用于氧化铝厂配套热电厂、煤气厂通风、除尘与烟气净化系统设计。
