1  Scope
    This standard specifies the definition and classification, burning behavior requirements and mark of fire retarding products and subassemblies in public place.
    This standard is applicable to the fire retarding products and subassemblies used in public places (see Appendix A) specified in Decree 39 and Decree 61 of the Ministry of Public Security.

3  Terms and Definitions
    For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
    Public Place
It refers to the facility and location where public services are provided and personnel activities are intensive.
3.2
    Fire Retarding Products and Subassemblies
    It refers to the product or the combination of products that are made of fire retarding materials.
3.3
    Fire Retarding
    It refers to the inhibiting, slowing and termination of flame propagation.
4  Classification, Graduation And Designation
4.1  Classification
    The fire retarding products and subassemblies in public place may be classified into 6 major classes:
    a) Fire retarding building product;
    b) Fire retarding textile;
    c) Fire retarding plastic/rubber;
    d) Fire retarding polyfoam;
    e) Fire retarding furniture and subassembly;
    f) Fire retarding wire and cable.
