1 General Provisions Article 1 According to the requirements of laws "Urban and Rural Planning Law of the People's Republic of China" and "Fire Control Law of the People's Republic of China", this construction standard is formulated in order to adapt economic construction and society development demands in China, improve the management level of decision and construction of city fire station "hereinafter referred to as fire station", and intensify the capacity to resist fire hazard and carry out emergency recovery. Article 2 This standard is a common control standard for decision of city fire station construction project and rational determination of construction level; the important criteria for fire planning preparation, and evaluation & approval of fire station construction projects; and the scale to examine preliminary plan of fire station construction project and inspect whole construction process. Article 3 This standard is applicable to new, rebuilt, and extended city fire station projects, and construction of other fire stations may comply with it by reference. Construction of fire station with specific functions may be reported for approval independently. Article 4 Construction of fire station shall be brought into local national economy and society development planning, town and country planning, and fire-fighting planning; be in the charge of and implemented by all levels of the governments. Article 5 Construction of fire station shall adhere to the principles "to favor service and combat preparedness, safe and functional, and convenient for life". Article 6 Construction of fire station shall meet the requirements of current relevant standards and codes of the country, besides this standard.
