1 Scope
This standard specifies the criteria and methods to identify major hazard installations for dangerous chemicals.
This standard is applicable to those enterprises or organizations engaged in production, use, storage and operation of dangerous chemicals.
This standard is not applicable to:
a) Nuclear facilities and plants processing radioactive substances, excluding departments handling non-radioactive substances in these facilities and plants.
b) Military installation;
c) Mining industry, excluding processing process and storage activities relating to dangerous chemicals;
d) Transportation of dangerous chemicals;
e) Offshore oil and natural gas exploitation activities.

The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. For dated reference, subsequent amendments (excluding amending error in the text) to, or revisions of, any of these publications do not be applied. However, the parties whose enter into agreement according to these specifications are encouraged to research whether the latest editions of these references are applied or not.
