1 General Provisions 1.0.1 According to Article 12 of Chapter III in "Regulations on City Planning of the Shenzhen Municipality" as well as other relevant laws and regulations, this Standard and Guidline is formulated with a view to realizing the internationalization of cities, promoting the sustainable development of economy, society and environment, improving the level of urban planning and construction as well as achieving the standardization, normalization and legalization of urban planning compilation and management. 1.0.2 This Standard and Guidline is formulated according to the relevant codes and standards of the State and Guangdong Province, by reference to the similar technical standards and guidelines where market economy is developed and in combination with the urban development goal and actual conditions of Shenzhen. 1.0.3 The urban planning compilation and management within the administrative area of Shenzhen shall comply with this Standard and Guidline. 1.0.4 The urban planning compilation and management of Shenzhen shall not only comply with this Standard and Guidline, but also meet the requirements of the relevant national, provincial, municipal current laws and regulations as well as other mandatory standards. 1.0.5 Shenzhen Municipal People's Government reserves the right to explain this Standard and Guidline.
