1 Scope
This Standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packing, transport and storage of nonpetroleum base brake fluid of hydraulic braking and hydraulic clutch system for motor vehicle.
This Standard is applicable to the motor vehicle brake fluids which are contacted with the sealing element made of styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) or ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) and are added diversified additives and whose foundation fluid is nonpetroleum base raw material.
This standard is not applicable to the motor vehicle brake fluids used under the environmental conditions of polar region.
