Supervision Rules on Safety Technology for Amusement Devices (Tentative)

Chapter I General Provisions
Article 1 This Rule is formulated on the basis of "Regulations on Quality Supervision and Safety Control for Special Equipment" (Order of the State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine No. 13) with a view to enhancing quality supervision and safety supervision for amusement devices, ensuring safe handling of amusement devices, and guaranteeing personal and property safety.
Article 2 The "amusement devices" in this Rule refer to the tourist-bearing facilities for the purpose of operation in closed areas, with the specific scope and type detailed in Attachment 1.
Article 3 Design, manufacture, installation, application, inspection, maintenance and renovation of amusement devices must meet the requirements of this Rule.
Article 4 The amusement devices incorporated into the scope of safety supervision are classified into Class A, Class B and Class C according to their hazard levels (see Attachment 2).
Article 5 This Rule belongs to the basic requirements of quality supervision and safety supervision for amusement devices. In the case of technical standard specifications related to amusement devices in conflict with this Rule, this Rule applies.
