1  Scope

This standard specifies the test methods for the leach ability of low and intermediate level solidified radioactive waste forms (hereinafter referred as solidified waste forms) under laboratory conditions.
This standard is applicable to the comparison and evaluation of the leaching resistance of solidified waste forms under the controlled conditions in laboratory; the specific purpose covers:
a)  For the comparison on the leach test results of solidified waste forms of different kinds or different compositions;
b)  For the comparison on the leach test results of the same kind of solidified waste forms obtained by different laboratories;
c)  For the comparison on the leach test results of solidified waste forms produced in different solidification processes.
