Instructions for Use of Products of Consumer Interest- Part 7: Sports Equipment 1 Scope This Part of GB 5296 specifies the basic principles for preparing the instructions for use of sports equipment as well as the labeling contents, emplacement position, type, font and font size of the instructions for use. This Part is applicable to the instructions for use of various sports equipment. 2 Normative References The following documents contain provisions which, through reference in this Part of GB 5296, constitute provisions of this Part. For dated reference, subsequent amendments to (excluding corrigenda), or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply. However, all parties coming to an agreement according to this Part are encouraged to study whether the latest edition of these documents is applicable. For undated references, the latest edition of the normative document referred to applies for this Part. GB 5296.1-1997 Instructions for Use of Products of Consumer Interest-General Principles 3 Terms and Definitions For the purposes of this Part of GB 5296, the following terms and definitions apply. 3.1 Sports equipment It refers to the appliances and apparatus applied in various sports. 3.2 Instruction for use It refers to an information tool that conveys how to correctly and safely use the product to the user. It generally conveys information by means of operating instructions, labels, marks, etc. It may be used separately or in combination by using documents, words, nameplates, symbols, charts, diagrams, and auditory or visual information.
