1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification, code, dimensions, appearance, weight, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packing, marking and quality certificate related to the seamless steel tubes for petroleum cracking.
This standard is applicable to the seamless steel tubes for use of furnance tube, heat exchanger tube and pressure piping in the petrochemical industry.

The seamless steel tubes in this standard are divided into two types according to manufacturing methods with the type and code of:
a) Hot-rolled (squeezed, extended) steel tube W-H;
b) Cold drawn (rolled) steel tube W-C.
