Important clues: The color of this standard can not be used for color matching. Please refer to the chroma attribute and luminosity attribute specified in GB/T 2893.1 about the requirements of color matching. Appendix A of GB/T 2893.1 also provides the reference value for other safety colors in color system.
1. Scope
This standard specifies the design procedures of the following three classes of graphic symbols:
——Public information graphic symbols;
——Graphic symbols for safety signs and product safety labels;
——Graphic symbols for equipments and products.
Above graphic symbols may be used in the documents used by consumers.
This standard is applicable to the design of above graphic symbols related with consumers, but it is not applicable to those graphic symbols for road traffic signs and technical product documents.
Note: The design rule of graphic symbols has already been specified in the relevant national standard and international standard. This standard summarizes the relevant standard information and reference documents, which is helpful for technical committee and designer to comply with "Best Practice" when considering the requirement of new graphic symbols.

For dated reference, subsequent amendments to, or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply. However, all parties coming to an agreement according to this standard are encouraged to study whether the latest edition of these documents is applicable. 3. Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions specified in GB T 15565 are applicable to this standard.
4. Relevant Domestic Standardization Technical Committees
4.1 Overview
The relevant national technical committees which are responsible for establishing and revising the design and standardization of graphic symbols involved in this standard are SAC TC 59 and SAC TC 27. These technical committees are responsible for establishing the national standard related with the design and standardization of graphic symbols.
The technical committees shall comply with the specifications of this standard when drafting or quoting graphic symbols standard or other standard containing graphic signs.
4.2 SAC/TC 59
SAC/TC 59 National Technical Committee for Standardization of Graphic Symbols is responsible for:
——Terms and representation rules of graphic symbols;
——Public information graphic symbols;
——Safety labels, signs, shapes, symbols and colors;
——Graphic symbols for equipments;
——Undertaking the appropriate domestic standardized technique work with International Standardization Organization Technical Committee for Graphic Symbol (ISO TC 145).
SAC/TC 59 establishes a technical subcommittee, namely SCT: City Guide Technical Subcommittee.
