3 Terms and Definitions
For the purpose of this standard, the following terms and definitions shall apply.
3.1
Dry type filter
Filter whose filter material is free from oil immersion or other liquids spraying.
3.2
Sub-HEPA (high efficiency particulate air) filter
Filter with particle size greater than or equal to 0.5μm and counting efficiency of particles greater than or equal to 95% but less than 99.9%, inspected by the methods specified in this standard.
3.3
High efficiency filter
Filter with particle size greater than or equal to 0.5μm and counting efficiency of particles greater than or equal to 70% but less than 95%, inspected by the methods specified in this standard.
3.4
Medium efficiency filter
Filter with particle size greater than or equal to 0.5μm and counting efficiency of particles less than 70%, inspected by the methods specified in this standard. Thereinto, counting efficiency of Model 1 filter is greater than or equal to 60%, that of Model 2 filter is greater than or equal to 40% but less than 60%, and that of Model 3 filter is greater than or equal to 20% but less than 40%.
