1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification designation, dimension, shape, weight, permissible deviation, order contents, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificate of tempered steel wire for bead.
This standard is applicable to carbon round steel wire (hereinafter referred to as wire) for bead wire tendon.

3 Classification and Designation
3.1 Wire is classified into two categories according to the strength grade:
a) Normal tensile strength, NT;
b) High tensile strength, HT.
