本标准规定了钢质船舶轴系修理前的勘验，螺旋桨与艉轴（艉轴包括艉管轴和螺旋桨轴）拆卸过程的勘验，艉轴、中间轴及推力轴的勘验，密封装置的拆卸和勘验及艉轴管首尾轴承、中间轴承、推力轴承间隙的勘验。本标准适用于海洋航行的钢质船舶，内河航行和其他类型船舶轴系修理时可参照执行。
